Before the Session
When a customer chooses to Book a Session with you, an email is generated to you asking for confirmation of the time and date chosen for the session and the customer gets a copy that shows “Pending Confirmation.” Prompt replies are necessary to keep customers happy, so you should plan on checking your emails daily to stay on top of these requests.
Dependability and promptness are very important to both the residents and the staff of the facilities we serve. We request that you are prepared to perform 15 minutes prior to the showtime. If you anticipate being late, we ask that you call the facility and let them know how late you will be.
If you must cancel a show, please inform Heart & Hope Music staff as soon as possible so that we can find a replacement. The audience anticipates our shows and our agreements with the facilities are important for us to fulfill.
During the Session
Our musicians strive to entertain with happy and loving energy. We engage the audience with smiles and encourage them to participate by singing or playing instruments. The purpose of our efforts is to provide a welcome diversion from the world today by playing music that reminds them of better times.
Colorful clothes or costumes are welcome. Your appearance conveys a message to your audience, so please feel free to explore creative but comfortable costumes and backgrounds.
Refrain from the use of alcohol or other drugs prior to and during your performance. In addition to the legal consequences involved in some facilities, respect for the individual audience members is of the utmost importance.

After the Session
If you have any feedback regarding the facility, your host, or the audience please let us know. We welcome your comments and constructive criticism. Also, please let us know if there are areas where you would like specific feedback or comments concerning your performance. Heart & Hope Music will provide surveys to the participants after each show so you will be able to find out how you were received and how many people you entertained!
